*The season has again come to an end for LPGSA.  Thank you to all the coaches, parents and players that have made this year a success!  Closing Ceremonies will be held on June 11, 2008 at 7:30pm.  Players are to wear their uniform and be on the field with their team by 7:30.  End of season party will follow the ceremony at the WAVE POOL.  Drinks and food may be brought in (concessions will not be available).  No BBQ pits allowed inside the facility.  Have FUN and be Safe over the summer.  Check back often for Fall Ball registration dates.

**This years Board of Directors elections were handled differently than in the past to encourage participation and was a HUGE success!  More parents and coaches were involved this year than in years past.  The ballots have been counted and results will be announced at Closing Ceremonies.  Thank you for getting involved!!!

Make a difference...run for next years LPGSA Board of Directors.  Elections are being done a little differently this year.  If you are interested in running, stop by the concession stand and see Tyra to have your name added to the ballot.  Managers will be handing out voting slips and all you have to do to vote is complete the slip and take it to the concession stand-it's that easy. Voting will take place the first week in May.  No more election meetings to find time to attend.  LPGSA knows your evenings are sometimes hectic during softball season and we are changing to promote and encourage parent participation.

Help us make LPGSA a great place for our young ladies to play ball.

Reminder- ALL parents wishing to help out at practices and/or games must have an application on file.   Give your team manager your application NOW if interested, it has to be approved before you can go on the field with the players.

LPGSA is looking forward to another competitive year on the softball fields.  Preparations for the FALL BALL season are currently underway. 

It is time to be thinking about coaching.  See the appropriate Age Group Commissioner for more information if interested.  You will find their contact info to your left under LPGSA Board.  Click on Handouts to your left for a coaches application.  All managers and coaches are subject to background checks in an effort to ensure the players safety.

Players*** Just a reminder that your batting helmets MUST have a face mask and chin strap.  Go to "Girls Only" on the left for a players only section of the site.

Coaches***Every parent that helps during practices and games must have a coaches application approved by the Board.  Please see the 2007-2008 By Laws for revisions that take effect this season.  Many changes were made that WILL affect you.  Important dates and misc. information will be periodically posted in "Coaches Corner".  Check back often.

EVERYONE***The La Porte Girls Softball complex is now a NO-SMOKING Zone per City Ordinance.  Please cooperate and only smoke in designated areas.

With some boos and hisses
